1E2 Book of Legends

1E2 Book of Legends
The Legend of the Last 15 Minutes

Introduction
Have you ever thought of what you could ever do and fulfill the best in someone’s life in 15 minutes? Or how bad you can hurt someone’s feelings in 15 minutes? Now, take a moment to reflect…

Thirty years ago, in a small village in China, lived a girl called Ah Zai. She was very friendly and hardworking. As her family was very poor, she had to help her mother who was very weak and frail, at her noodle stall early in the morning. She had a brother named En Sheng, who was a gambling addict. He was a totally different character from the sister as he always asked his mother for money instead of helping to earn them.

Body + Climax
One day, while Ah Zai was at work, En Sheng came back home from the gambling den. He was in a bad mood as he had lost all his money while gambling. As he was searching the drawers for money, he saw his mother taking out some money from a biscuit tin. “Give me the money, you old woman! “ He shouted angrily. ”No! You’ve taken almost all my money away! I won’t give it to you!” The mother shouted as she broke into tears. As soon as she finished saying her sentence, En Sheng started to grab the tin that was held tightly in his mother’s arms.

He was so desperate, that he knocked his mother against the edge of the table so badly that blood was gushing out of her head. She was lying with pain on the floor. En Sheng took no pity of her, and left with the tin of money. Ah Zai was on her way back from work, and she saw En Sheng walking out angrily. She suspected that something was amiss, and immediately ran into the house, and she broke down into tears when she saw her mother lying on the floor. She ran towards her, and knelt before her, carried her and brought her straight to the clinic.

As her mother was gasping for her last breath to stay alive, she had a sudden flashback of what En Sheng did to her with the last 15 minutes she had with him; En Sheng hurt her feelings by scolding her and calling her a bad mum, beat her up for the sake of money, and ignored her pleading to save her life, and left her fighting with her life.

Ending
The sudden thought of the last 15 minutes with Ah Zai; she hugged her mother and cried hysterically, lifted her mother up and rushed her to the clinic. Along the way, she fell down on stones and even injured herself just to try to save her.

After thinking of what En Sheng and Ah Zai had done to her, she put on a smile and left the world. She closed her eyes and tears were rolling down her face. But at the end of the day, she left the world happily because she managed to spend her last moments with Ah Zai in her arms. Her peaceful departure from the world was a sign of forgiveness for her son, En Sheng.
From this story, we can learn that money doesn’t outweigh kinship, and we should always learn to forgive and forget.

Holidays :

During the June holidays, I went to Cambodia with the Zhenghua Girl Guides for a exchange programme with the Guides there.
We were pretty lucky because that's the period of the H1N1 outbreak.
I really enjoyed myself during this trip, and it is a memorable one.

H1N1 Outbreak:

the number of H1N1 cases are increasing. I think it is our duty to protect ourself, and be responsible citizens against it. We should be hygienic, wear a mask when we are not feeling well and quarantine ourselves if we just came back from an affected country.

orientation camp 2009(:

P.S. I deleted all my first few posts because I think I better do a better job than before, as marks are awarded :D

CAMP

The Sec 1 orientation camp was a very great experience for me, to get a closer relationship with my classmates, as we'll be spending our 2 years together.
I met the trio (yy, waimun & zawati), who were really cool, funny, and they made my days in the camp really really fun.
Though there were plenty of negative comments (from me) about the camp,
like the toilet really spoiled my mood with the uncountable number of millipedes,
but I still enjoyed myself in this camp :D

The most enjoyable and fun event from the camp was the high-elements section,
where we really challenged ourselves to try on the challenging stuffs,
and some of them even went on to take the challenge though they're afraid of heights.

Through this camp, I learned more about the importance of teamwork, and to be independent. :D
